Fun stuff we've been up to

(warning: this post is EXTREMELY long...sorry about that!)
We have been having a lot of fun this month and our Valentines day was great! Justin and I went on a wonderful date -(thanks to the Goldades and my parents!) it was so nice to get out for an evening together. Justin was so sweet and got me the most exciting gift! Here I was thinking he just didn't have any time to think of ideas of what to get me for Valentines day, so I gave him a list of things that would be easy and that I would enjoy - putting a limit of $5. He played along and "went out shopping" with Braden the day before Valentines day. As it turns out, he really didn't need any ideas at all because he bought tickets for us to go to a Michael Buble concert!!!!! I about died I was so shocked and excited!
He is so good to me - he doesn't even really like Michael Buble. But he knew that I would love to go so he got the tickets. How sweet is he?! (And WAY over the $5 limit, so I told him that is his anniversary and birthday present to me this year) The concert is in July, so I have a lot of time to be excited about it. ;) Justin takes such good care of me, even when he is stressed to the max with school and test after test.
Speaking of Justin, he is doing great and constantly amazes me at the amount of information he can cram into his brain. He studies so hard - and I am so blessed because he likes to study at home, so we get to see him and play during his little study breaks he needs every so often. I love it. I know a lot of the other students study at the library and are there at all hours of the night. I really am so lucky! I love my man! And my boy!
Speaking of that little boy, he is also doing great and my goodness is he ever growing up fast! He very quickly learned how to run, and thoroughly enjoys running away from us whenever we come near him with a diaper or clothes in hand! He has had a language explosion recently and says all sorts of stuff like "cracker, car, ball, up, quack, clock, shoe" etc. It is so cute and only recognizable to Justin and I, but we love every word of it!
So here are a few pictures of what we've been up to:

I had to try to capture a shot of his hair after his bath because that's the best time you can see his cute curls! I love them and I don't have much hope that they will stay (Justin and I have absolutely stick-straight hair. It doesn't come much straighter than the two of us. However, both of our moms have curls to their hair, so there is a chance!). I love curly hair and it makes me so happy that my little boy has some curls! I'm thinking it will be a long time before I can bring myself to cut those cute things!

One day Braden started pulling on his little stroller by the door. He apparently is also ready for the weather to warm up so we can go play outside! Since it wasn't looking very inviting outside, we took a little stroll around the house, inside. He had a great time and kept wanting more and more of it. I think he would have been glad to do that all day long!
So, if you look in his lap you'll see a little boy baby. I love this little guy, as does Braden - to Justin's utter dismay! The bishop's wife found this and gave it to Braden and he has loved it ever since. He gives it hugs, takes off it's hat and gives it to me to put back on, tries to put it's pacifier in...it is so sweet! In the picture below you'll notice another thing that Braden loves, his shirt! This shirt in particular. He is obsessed with it and it often sleeps with him. I don't know what it is about this shirt, but for the about the last 6 months anytime he sees it he grabs it and carries it with him everywhere. It's hilarious!
I love the look in his eyes in this one!

We start them working young here in the Peterson household! :) Braden thinks the broom is pretty cool and apparently doesn't mind that it is more than twice the size of him. It's so funny to see him carry this huge thing around so nonchalantly!

And in other big news this month we got another car!!!! YAY! We have been a one-care family for most of our marriage, but we finally got a second car and it has been great (thank you tax return!!)! The freedom has been wonderful thus far and Justin and I both love the new car. (I'll take a picture of it and post it later) So with the new car we needed another car seat, which Braden was pretty excited about!

And the best thing about a new carseat is the box, of course!

I wouldn't cut the curls either if I were you :) And I love the box pictures. He just gets cuter and cuter, and it sounds like more and more fun too. Glad things are going well for you guys.

How fun, and wow that's alot of hair for Braden! Kylee has some curls to, and I am scared they won't last, but I REALLY hope they do. It would just be so cute, and with Addi's stick straight hair it would be nice to have something different to work with. You better keep the box forever! THey are actually selling cardboard box playhouses for like $50 -$100 I noticed the other day online, so you just saved yourself that much money! It's fun to see the updates. We would love to see the car!

They ALWAYS love the boxes :) I'm totally jealous of his curls. I hope when Kambria finally grows some hair that it will be curly too! Looks like you're having a lot of fun!

Elise!! Braden is such a cutie!!He seems like such a fun-loving boy. I love that he takes care of his baby. Drew does that with his stuffed animals. It's cute to see the nurturing side of our little guys. Congrats on the car!! Wahoo! It's nice to have freedom to go where you need to go when you want to go. I'm glad that you can laugh at, "a lot of peas for a lot of person!" I think back on that sometimes and feel bad. I need to censor my sense of humor!! Thanks for being so forgiving!! I love ya girl!!
